About me |
I am Junior Professor for Evolution and Biodiversity at Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg and Research Group Leader at the German Centre for integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv). My group is funded by the DFG's Emmy Noether Programme and through the Tenure-Track-Programme of the BMBF.
Previously, I worked as a lecturer at Oxford Brookes University and before that, I was a Marie Curie Fellow in the group of Prof Greg Hurst at the University of Liverpool (Greg Hurst's lab page). Most of my work so far has been on the evolution of insects and their associated microbes. My other interests are genomics, phylogenetics, ecology, bioinformatics, and faunistics. About this site |
I here aim to maintain a permanent webpage with up-to-date information about me and my research.
The news page will be regularly updated with information on novel results, my publications and conference presentations. Further, I will populate the blog with thoughts on interesting publications and novel software or books I find worth mentioning. There will also be entries accompanying publications I have authored. The research page contains some background on my research interests and a summary of the most important results. A list of the publications I have authored can be found here. Finally, on the resources page, I will upload anything that may be useful to the community, but is usually not added as supplement to publications or stored in archives. This may be, e.g., workflow schemes or small scripts. |
